Apple Turnovers (Yields 4)
Ingredients
- 1 Package of seamless dough sheet or crescent rolls
- 2 Apples
- 2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
- Cinnamon/Sugar (to taste)
- 1 Tbsp Butter
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Peel and dice apples. Add brown sugar, cinnamon, and sugar.
- Roll out dough sheet or crescent rolls Pinch two "triangles" together if using the crescent rolls, or cut the dough sheet into fourths.
- Add the apple mixture to half of each of the "sheets". Distribute the butter evenly on top of the apple mixture.
- Fold the "sheet" over and pinch the edges shut with a fork. Sprinkle the top with the cinnamon sugar mixture (optional). I also poke a few holes in the top to allow the steam to escape.
- Bake in the oven 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Enjoy...you could always top with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream (just remember moderation).
