Portabella Mushroom Pizza: (Yields 2 "pizzas")
Ingredients:
- 2 Large Portabella Mushrooms
- 1/4 cup Pizza Sauce
- Toppings of your choice--I used turkey pepperoni
- 1/4 cup Mozzarella Cheese
- 1 Tbsp. Olive Oil
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
- Remove stems from the mushrooms. Brush olive oil on both sides of the mushrooms.
- Bake in oven for 5 minutes (stem side up).
- Add pizza sauce in the stem part, then add the toppings, followed by mozzarella cheese.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 10-15 minutes, you may want to put your oven on broil for a minute or two to get the cheese a little browner.
- Let cool--they are very HOT!!
Pizza Roll Ups: (Yields 8 roll ups)
Ingredients:
- Crescent Rolls or Crescent Dough Sheet
- Toppings (I just used pepperoni, but you could add ham, mushrooms, etc...)
- 4 slices of string cheese String Cheese (1/2 slice per roll up)
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
- Roll out crescent rolls. If you are using the dough sheet (which is why I normally keep for my turnovers), roll out, divide in half, and then cut that half in half, and then make triangles from each of the halves (it will look like the crescent rolls look like when you unroll it)
- Layer pepperoni (other toppings) and top with the string cheese.
- Roll it up
- Bake 10-15 minutes--until golden brown.
- Let cool, then enjoy!
